Microsoft has detailed the system requirements for the new Microsoft Office 2013 suite:

“You may have to upgrade your hardware or operating system, or both, before you can use Office 2013 Preview. This article will help you determine whether you do have to do that.

Note:
Office 2013 Preview is supported for both 32-bit and 64-bit client applications.
